Nwestco Water was born several years ago out of our core business and the underground and aboveground storage tanks used to store petroleum products. Two recent factors have created the opportunity for us to serve new customers and the professional design community:

1. Growing industry demand for a water and wastewater storage solution that performs at a higher standard;
2. Ever-increasing regulatory demands from local water & health boards, state water agencies, and the EPA.

Water TanksYears ago the practical options for storage tanks of water and wastewater were limited underground to primarily steel (with obvious corrosion issues) and concrete (limited by weight and handling, as well as the problems of “seepage rate”, otherwise known to us in the petroleum world as “tank leaks”). In recent years, inexpensive poly tanks have become popular aboveground storage options; however, their inherent lack of structural strength often resulted in tank failure when buried due to collapse under load.

Engineers and water consultants began to ask for fiberglass storage tanks that could be modified from the petroleum application to fittings and use for various water and wastewater applications. Led by Xerxes Corporation, the market opportunity was clarified and today Xerxes offers a wide range of fiberglass storage tank solutions, both aboveground and underground. Containment Solutions has also taken advantage of the emerging market and now offers a wide range of  water and wastewater products.

Nwestco has experience in the following areas of water and wastewater design and installation: Fire Suppression, both residential and commercial Potable and NSF  Stormwater, Retention and Detention, Greywater Irrigation Septic and waste treatment.
