Northwest Fuel Systems, Inc. (NWFS) was incorporated in Montana in December 1992 for the purpose of purchasing Northwest Fuel Systems, a division of City Service, Inc. NWFS began operations in 1993 with seven employees serving western Montana and northern Idaho from the Kalispell and Missoula areas. The nature of the business is the sales, installation and maintenance of petroleum equipment. Since 1993, NWFS has increased its market area to include all of western Montana and northern Idaho with service from Kalispell, Missoula, Butte and Great Falls. Increased its market area to include all of  Washington and with service in Spokane, Try City's, Yakima, All of Western Washington . Service technicians and installers average over twenty years of experience in petroleum equipment installation and service. Service technicians regularly attend classes to up grade their skills, learn of new equipment to be used, and to maintain licenses required in the industry. NWFS purchased the operations of SME - Spokane and began operations as Northwest Fuel Systems - Spokane on April 1, 2002. This addition, although under a separate company structure, adds seven additional employees to service the regions petroleum equipment needs and expands the service area to all of northern Idaho and  Washington.
In February 2003, NWFS bought a carwash equipment, chemicals and service business and named it Tidal Wave Carwash. This company operates out of the Kalispell office and installs and maintains car washes throughout the Pacific Northwest as well as stocks and provides the Blue Coral line of car wash chemicals. With the assistance of the experienced technicians of NWFS, Tidal Wave Carwash is becoming the leader in its field in the northwest as well.
